Why do Americans despise Canada?

Not all Americans have a negative attitude towards Canada, every person has a (relatively) unique opinion. Yes there are some people that hate our northern neighbors just as there are people in Canada and all around the world who laugh at the US. There are people in the US who are blindly nationalistic and belittle those who don't conform to our standards; these are not the people you should be listening to. I guarantee you these people either haven't traveled from their hometown and don't take the time to think about what they are saying unfortunately. Just ignore them and hope that they one day learn from their mistakes. Canada is a wonderful country and is worth visiting, so look at it this way: they're missing out!
