If you say something while high, does that mean you're telling the truth?

I smoked where I got amazingly paranoid, then the next thing I know - with such amazing clarity, I was telling this guy that he was my soul mate. I'm very spiritual so I usually trust my thoughts when high considering it has given me insight into a great many perspectives in life. So is it true that he really is my soulmate? Or can you actually say something while high that isn't true, despite during the time I said it I was in tears and it felt so genuinely true. Preferably answered by pot smokers please, so that way maybe someone can share their experience. Thanks.
